“ The bright future is (hopefully) in progress.”   The DC Comics’ beloved virtual event is back! Now with more news and announcements to offer, DC FanDome 2021 holds its global event again. The event officially commences at 10am PT on October 16, 2021 (00.00 WIB, October 17). We, as the (super) hungry (and desperate) DC fans, cannot wait for the bright future that might be coming through next year ’s movie line-up, starting  with Matt Reeves’ The Batman (March 2022), to Jaume Collet-Serra’s Black Adam (July 2022), Andy Muschietti’s The Flash (November 2022), and lastly James Wan’s Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom (December 2022).  Unlike last year ’s event, this 2021 DC conference does not have the schedule of the panels, so like it or not, we have to watch the entire event to see our most-anticipated ones. So, what are the good news that DC FanDome has given to the fans? Here is the recap for today’s event. Awesome things are on the way. (Note: I’m mostly recapping the ...

My Review on ‘The Suicide Squad’: Meet the Infamous Supervillain Bunch

Image
"What's the like? Living life as a punchline?" When Warner Bros. was not satisfied with the critics of the preceding Suicide Squad (2016), they didn’t joke around. Instead of creating a tight-to-its-predecessor sequel, they tried to revive what has been ‘dead’ and hired another director to helm the soft-reboot movie: a standalone sequel starring (almost) new faces, now hitting theaters and HBO Max under the title The Suicide Squad . At the moment, this movie is holding a solid 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Most critics praise its entertaining ride and gore elements that strengthen the movie. Directed by James Gunn as the DCEU’s 9th installment, is   The Suicide Squad   making its way up in the comic book movies industry? Directed by: James Gunn Written by: James Gunn Distributed by: Warner Bros. Pictures Running time: 132 minutes Rating: R Short synopsis of The Suicide Squad : Belle Reve never lets their worst prisoners to take a rest. Amanda Waller recruits he...

Museum Context: Enter Potterhead's Favorite Place in HK

Image
It was June 6, 2019, at about 3 p.m. A very hot afternoon at that time.   I was waiting with my family for an MTR ride back to Tsim Sha Tsui from Ocean Park station. We just did a top up to our Octopus Card and didn’t have any plan to visit more destinations when my father suggested to stop by at Causeway Bay for just wandering around.  All of sudden something just crossed my mind. I remembered a place that I haven’t yet visited. It was located in Causeway Bay. Yup, Museum Context! At 3.30 pm, we arrived in Causeway Bay MTR Station . Super crowded since it was Hong Kong’s rush hour. We quickly looked for a suitable exit for Museum Context area. Minutes later, we decided to use the Hysan Place exit . We walked for three minutes. And abracadabra, we discovered this tiny store with “Museum Context” word sticked on its windows. It was situated in a building’s 2nd floor. I was so excited and entered the Potterhead store in a speed of light. My cousin went to this place in Decem...
