Without further ado, for those who could not participate virtually on his live streaming, you can read this instead.
1. The history lesson of Uxas: a story of the conquest of earth by Uxas (young Darkseid) trying to destroy everything using his staff. Zack mentioned that Uxas was one of the most powerful in New Gods.
2. The death of Superman at the
hand of Doomsday: a scene taken from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice which has
a big influence on this Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He added that Uxas and
Steppenwolf “are comparable” to Doomsday in matter of strength when they fight
against Superman.
3. The Knightmare scene: this
scene involved Thomas Wayne’s portrait and other comic references Zack doesn’t
want to reveal to the audiences. The apocalyptic scene of Knightmare with a
glimpse of Joker’s card, omega symbol given in some scene from BvS,
Apokolips war, and still many more!
4. Diana confronting the Arrow of Artemis:
Diana encounters the Arrow of Artemis which is stuck around in the ground,
giving the clue to two possibilities: Diana’s return to Themyscira and the
location of hidden shrine of the Amazons.
5. The conversation at the
Wayne’s Aerospace: Showing a hologram of (the late) Superman. This scene
hasn’t taken place in the Batcave because it is still the beginning of the
Justice League to build trust and development.
6. Aquaman cool shot: Zack
explained that the main tavern is built in a scale and other are in miniatures,
using gallons of water cannons to have that water shot on Jason Momoa.
7. Vic Stone’s football game at
GCU: Took place on stage in England where Eli Snyder (Zack’s son) appeared as
one of the players and trainers. Cyborg's mom is celebrating his son’s victory. Vic's father Silas is missing from the game because he is busy with lab stuff.
8. Kids playing football near
Vic’s house at Gotham: A scene where Vic is watching them playing and
remembering his good ol' days when he used to play football, before the
accident that turned into the ‘monstrous’ Cyborg. During this time, he is still hiding in the plain sight, trying to figure out who he really is.
9. Superman's glorious shot: Zack
won’t give us the hint. He only said that it’s really a majestic shot of
Superman.
10. Wonder Woman smiling to the
kid: The scene after she rescues the kids. Zack added that Gal Gadot is a
wonderful embodiment of WW and he couldn’t be more grateful to work with her.
11. Flash rescuing Iris West: This
shot is when he is applying job at a pet store, also an introduction to his
speed force and other power. Barry tries hard to keep his surrounding safe
because of his super speed power.
12. Cyborg digging a graveyard: Zack
didn’t give a significant information on this one. The angel statue is from his
movies Watchmen and Sucker Punch.
13. Batman standing on the skeleton gargoyle:
One of Zack’s favorite shots which is inspired from a classic Batman gargoyle shot
from the comics.
14. Lois meeting Martha in Lois’
apartment: Zack said that this scene develops a beautiful and emotional
friendship between Martha and Lois–talking about how they live in this world
without someone they love the most.
15. Aquaman shot at Atlantis: The
meeting between Aquaman and Vulko, then a shot of the armor and his mother’s
trident he decides to don, followed by a shot where he meets Mera.
16. Uxas’ shot from the history
lesson: He is ready to take over the world and the ultimate weapon of earth,
but he doesn’t know what's coming to him (there are earth protectors who will
fight against him). There are the priests of the Mother Boxes in the
background. Zack also mentioned that this sequence is very “sci-fi Lord of the
Rings”.
17. DeSaad: The agent and the
bridge between Steppenwolf and Darkseid who is giving Steppenwolf updates via
hologram, and "is scary". Zack added that he has his very own dark ambition. (Note: for those who are wondering about his look is similar to Avengers: Infinity War's Corvus Glaive, yes it is, because they hired the same concept art designer).
18. Cyborg and JL at STAR Labs: Zack
said that this scene is reflecting the pain and hardship of Cyborg as a son "who
is finding place at this world". Ray Fisher’s performance as Cyborg was
praised.
19. New born Superman shot: A
scene where he is flying at the sky among us, followed by Lois seeing "the
impossible".
20. Silas scene: No spoiler and
no comment from Zack, but he just mentioned that in the end, “he knows what to
do, he's got a plan, no spoiler, some spikey dude behind”, probably a scene
where he is getting distracted by Steppenwolf? This scene has a sort of
reference to Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen
(2009).
21. The shot of the Batmobile
firing many guns and is being chased by the Parademons: Zack explained that
this scene is where Batman trying to divert them so that the team would make
their way to the reactor.
22. Some Parademons getting
wrecked: No explanation about this, just Parademons getting wrecked… :D
23. Hippolyta doing a cool movie
in a battle to get out the Parademons from the motherbox’s keeper: A battle
scene between Hippolyta and the Parademons at the Mother Box keeper.
24. Steppenwolf’s raid at
Themyscira: Shows the original design of Steppenwolf. Zack described that he
loves this design because it’s “too scary, too alien, too intense, represented
to real threat not just to JL but to entire planet, and he loves conquering the
earth”.
25. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg
in one shot: Working together (almost working as a team). Zack added that
Steppenwolf is wearing space armor during battle.
26. Flash short scene: He is using his speed
force “to elevate and change direction quite quickly and rescue the STAR Labs
member.”
27. Parademons flying over the
Batmobile as Bruce trying to reach the reactor: No further explanation at this
scene.
28. Superman vs. Steppenwolf: A direct
conflict between these two. A pretty intense scene, said Zack.
29. Batman fighting the Parademons: Alfred invented the special gauntlets for Batman! (I miss Jeremy Irons’ sassy Alfred so much).
30. Flash cool scene: No spoiler
from Zack, but he said that the sequence is one of scenes they worked hard on.
31. Kent farm scene: A scene that
Zack previously drew on his storyboard, followed by a reunion shot. Zack
mentioned that this is a very beautiful and heartwarming scene.
32. Cyborg poweful scene: In this scene, Zack explained that Cyborg is discovering and thinking “what’s
possible to him and what’s he capable of in the technological world.” Cyber
encrypts are nothing to him and launching a nuclear war in a second is easy for
Cyborg.
33. Atlantean King at the Uxas’
conquest: A shot of the old Atlantean King wearing his golden armor and using
his golden trident. Zack mentioned that this scene shows how the defenders of
earth worked together during that time to deflect Uxas.
34. Cyborg saving the policeman:
No further explanation about this scene.
35. Flash making his way to psychedelic
landscape: No more explanation, just Flash moving as the fastest man alive.
36. JL reunion at the ending,
watching from afar: A favorite shot of Zack. A prominent scene in the movie.
37. Batman’s Flying Fox rising up
to the JL: the Flying Fox is iconic; as a main vehicle for JL in doing their
mission. The sun is rising from afar. Zack explained that this Batman tactical
suit was built to prepare alien invasion on earth. He also said that his
favorite Batsuit is the one in Batman v. Superman and “planning to use more of
that suit in the future.”
38. Barry's talking about the Steppenwolf’s war: Showing each shoot of the JL members at the Wayne Aerospace hangar. Zack said that “confidence is the principle”. At the beginning of the league, Aquaman doesn’t really have his trust on Cyborg, which often causes a conflict.
